Who
Women entrepreneurs with beginner-level tech skills who need to build or customize a new WordPress website or redesign an existing one to launch or grow their business in the new year
Eligibility
You can apply for this program as a diverse self-identified woman or non-binary entrepreneur. This includes but is not limited to, women with disabilities; Indigenous women; women in rural or remote regions; recent immigrants; visible minority women; women who identify as two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender individuals; and women from Official Language Minority Communities (OLMCs). Ideally, you are (co-)founder, or (co-)owner leading a business in Canada or are a key decision maker within the business.
What to expect
In each hour and a half class, the first part will be dedicated to instruction and the second part will be working on your website, asking questions, and resolving issues.
There will also be advisory sessions and additional group workshops for those who need extra support outside of the Thursday class times.
By the end of the course, participants will have set up and created their own basic, informational WordPress website along with their hosting account and domain registration with Bluehost.
