Who

Black, Indigenous, Women of Color (BIWOC), and Immigrant women who wish to explore the entrepreneurial journey, build networks, and build skills to start and grow their businesses. While working with peers, you’ll explore your business value proposition and design an action plan. Networking opportunities included.

Eligibility

You can apply for this program as a Black, Indigenous and Women of Color (BIWOC) and/or Immigrant self-identified women or non-binary entrepreneurs. This includes, but is not limited to, intersectional identities such as women with disabilities; Indigenous women; women in rural or remote regions; recent immigrants; visible minority women; women who identify as two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender individuals; and women from Official Language Minority Communities (OLMCs). Ideation and early-stage founders, co-founders and/or key decision-makers looking to grow or scale their businesses are eligible to sign up for this program.

About this course

The Success Mindset program is a 3 week BootCamp meticulously designed to champion success for Black, Indigenous and Women of Colour (BIWOC). Black, Indigenous and Women of Colour (BIWOC), including immigrant women entrepreneurs, face several obstacles when looking to start and/or grow their businesses and understand that these obstacles can span across systemic, personal, and interpersonal realms, potentially thwarting the path to success. 

This program adopts a comprehensive and mindfulness approach, supporting participants in navigating their entrepreneurial journey skillfully. We provide an arsenal of essential tools, resources, tailored support, and a robust network to enable participants to carve their path to success as they define it.

Recognizing that success is a personal and unique journey, every participant brings a distinct vision of success and is at a varying stage in their entrepreneurial journey. This program is committed to embracing this diversity and will engage with each participant holistically, offering unwavering support and resources attuned to their needs. This ensures that every participant is well-equipped to surmount various obstacles, paving the way for a thriving, self-defined entrepreneurial journey.

What to expect 

  • Six live virtual facilitated learning sessions with a community of self-identified women entrepreneurs.

  • Each live session is 1 hour on Tuesdays & 1.5 hours on Saturdays.

  • The program is delivered in English. An online workbook and slides will be available after each session. French support is available upon request.

  • A self-directed peer accountability group will take place during the program.

  • Access to other Start Now Incubator activities, virtual connector events, and in-person events and activities.

  • Building a strong foundation by identifying your vision, values and goals. 

  • Building resilience and navigating failure and rejection.

  • Building a strong personal brand.

  • Marketing and branding strategies.

  • Creating and presenting a strong business plan.

  • Fundraising: managing finances and budgeting.
